As "the most important intellectual resource of the academic community", the LVD library helps the school attain its educational objectives. In line with the school's main thrusts, the library serves as a teaching instrument, as stimulus to independent individual inquiry, as a framework for sound catholic education, and as repository for indigenous materials in Filipino thought, customs, traditions and culture, specially in the Leyte-Samar region.
